sword and the Jo (short staff) is a major
part of Aikido, this art teaches one to use the
attacker’s violent behavior to his own downfall.

Are
there any formalities in classes?
Yes there are formalities such bowing, respect, punctuality
and dress code, you see Aikido starts and ends with
curtsey. This is necessary at Purple Dragon to have an
orderly class and well balance students in all of the
courses.
We have produce very good Black Belts out of the Aikido
classes who are now certify. Our grand master,
Professor Don Jacob always had a passion for Aikido
techniques and its philosophy of love for nature
from an early age, so it is no surprise that he is
excited about Aikido classes and invites you to come
and join today. Remember there are many
other classes in Purple Dragon you can train in as a separate
course, once you have the time to invest in the other
disciplines we will help you.
