Thank you for visiting this page, please read all of the listed house rules to assist you in understanding how to help us at Purple Dragon serve you.  There are two links down to the bottom of the page one will take you the Instructors' Profile and the other to the Dojo Listing  to help you find a Purple Dragon dojo as there are close to 50 locations, somewhere in the world near you.

Arrive 15 Minutes Before Class Begins

Get in your Gi and warm up  whilst waiting for your class to begin.

If you are late for class do not enter until granted permission by the instructor

Always keep official membership card handy to present for classes

Please make sure that your child signs the registry before and after class

No loitering is allowed at the Dojo.

Call to schedule any make-up classes to ensure we have a place for you

Put all clothing and shoes in appropriate places

Students are allowed with permission to train in classes below their Belt level, but not above.

Remove locks from lockers so that others can use them after your class

Limit food and drinks to lobby or cafeteria area

Do leave things better than you found them

Please support Purple Dragon by purchasing only official clothing, equipment, etc from your dojo or Black Belt Martial Arts Supplies.  No homemade uniforms are allowed.

Please park your automobiles so that it would not cause inconvenience to others

Do feel free to invite friends and family members to join our Purple Dragon program

Purple Dragon is closed on ALL national holidays.

Don’ts

Do not wear jewelry on the mat during class. This includes: earrings, necklaces, rings, toe-rings, watches, etc.

No smoking or alcohol is allowed in the school

Don’t leave any personal belongings in the locker rooms overnight. “When in doubt we throw it out”.

Don’t distract classes with your cellular phones.  Turn them off or put them on vibrate

Parents - if you are waiting in the Dojo for your child please show respect by not reading a newspaper, using your laptop, sleeping or talking on your cell phone or with other parents, to distract the class.  Please step outside or over to a private area to handle your personal matters.

Parents, do not step on the matted or training area unless invited and remove your footwear before doing so.  

Parents during grading, classes or any Purple Dragon events derogatory statements or any form of disrespect towards any other members or Instructors are not tolerated. 

Highly Appreciated

Students must be properly attired at all times, uniforms should be neat and clean for class

Students must be completely dressed in pants, jacket and belt around their waist and not  hanging  from around their necks as a fashion statement.

Toe-nails and fingernails should be clipped and hands and feet kept clean.  Personal hygiene is always important  - it will always help your workout program to be more enjoyable

Ladies wearing a Purple Dragon T-shirt or sport bra under the Gi is more comfortable

Every student must have their own safety equipment - hand and foot gears, head gear, mouth guard, box (groin protector), chest protector etc

Parents and members, your fullest support to any and all Purple Dragon activities is expected and will be fully appreciated.

Parents should not try to influence any Instructor to alter the teaching syllabus or demand their child be given a particular rank without the child having a particular skill. This will not be tolerated.

Purple Dragon House Rules

Everyone should stand in support of their loved ones during the Dojo Kun (pledge)

We would appreciate if parents and Instructors address each other formally, by their appropriate titles and in a respectful manner, even if the Instructor is younger than you are, and especially in the presence of other students

Parents

If your child is ill please keep him/her at home for the protection of other members

Call in advance if your child will not be attending class

Do not change your child cloth in the lobby area

Mothers are not allowed in the Boy’s changing area and vice versa

Have your child go to the bathroom before class begins

Please don’t try to communicate or distract your child while the class is in session unless there is an emergency.

Parents when classes are over and the students are leaving the floor in an orderly fashion according to their ranks, please do not attempt to call your child out of the line until his/her  turn comes to leave.

If your child needs to take medication during class please inform the instructor and or team member

Parents please keep younger siblings supervised at all times.  Do not let them run onto any practice areas or distract a class by shouting, screaming etc.

Parents, Purple Dragon is not a babysitting facility.  Please pick up your child promptly after class!

If someone else is picking up your child let us know in advance

All financial obligations must be met on time

All Purple Dragon Instructors are qualified, so no particular Instructor is guaranteed an assignment to one class or one individual.

If you may have any concerns about classes please speak directly to the Purple Dragon Instructor in charge.

Should anyone want to discontinue classes for the purpose of engaging in other activities please clear off all outstanding payments if any, before leaving

The Purple Dragon Dojo equipment and utilities should not be used or removed from the premises without official permission, e.g. Music system, DVD, Cd's, telephones etc.

 Please pay particular attention to section one (1) of your contract / agreements
