KARATE NOW AN EXAMINATION SUBJECT IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS!

The government of Trinidad and Tobago  has now officially included karate as an examination subject on the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) school-leaving syllabus!  This means that your child can actually get an extra certification pass by taking karate as a subject in school.  Purple Dragon Karate School will help prepare your child for a higher education and more solid future.

Purple Dragon’s Karate/Jiu-Jitsu is more than just another after-school activity. Exciting yet disciplined classes hold a child’s attention, thus improving his or her ability to learn. Along with building self-confidence, we weave traditional values into the fabric of each class: courage, justice, generosity, politeness, honor, honesty and loyalty. These seven traditional values, which are the second part of a strong foundation, date back to the era of the Samurai.

Once the parents support the organization’s methods of instructions, his or her child will develop a non-quitting spirit to overcome life’s obstacles. A non-quitting spirit is the third part of a strong foundation and makes any goal attainable.

We accept children from as early as four years of age, once they pass a simple evaluation and           orientation.     

Your child’s total safety is our main concern during training. Classes are taught by certified and qualified instructors of the Don Jitsu Ryu system, and safety equipment is mandatory for sparring and some self defense techniques.
