We at
Purple Dragon International Martial Arts
School are very proud of the way that
many of the people that we have trained
are moving upwards in life and are
giving back to their communities and
countries. I bring to your attention a
few shining examples to other Purple
Dragon members, you can look up to and
pursue these students direction.
Sensei Gary Hunt is carrying out the
function as Minister of Sports and
youth affair in Trinidad and Tobago,
Mr. Peter Taylor is functioning
as the Minister of Legal Affairs
of Trinidad and Tobago and Mr.
Ivor Archie in the position of Chief
Justice, the third highest position
in the country after the President and
Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Patrick
Manning. We congratulate them; we
challenge our young Purple Dragon
students to accomplish greater
excellence in learning and achieving the
Purple Dragon Black Belt as one never
knows what greater opportunity awaits
them.
At
Purple Dragon, we focus on safety. We set
high standards. We pride ourselves on quality.
From Instruction to quality control to customer
service, we’ve standardized our programme
to ensure high standards at all levels of
our system. It’s the mission of our founder
Professor Don Jacob since 1970 and remains
the mission that qualifies and certifies
us even to this day.
Once you train with Purple
Dragon and follow our system, you’ll soon
wonder why you didn’t do Don Jitsu Ryu sooner.
You’ll realize why words like “tested,”
“safety conscious” "committed"
and “innovative” define us. Each time
our students or instructor shows up in the
same place with competitors, we just smile
and say, “We wouldn’t have it any other
way.” Our students know they are getting
the training that set past, present, and
future standards for martial artists who
didn’t have high standards before we came
along.
At Purple Dragon, we have
a philosophy about our system (Don Jitsu
Ryu) that goes beyond high quality expectations.
Our approach to teaching and preparing our
students is a little like being on a regular
discovery mission – taking what we already
know and making it better. That’s why we

than 10-fold. Today, Purple Dragon has progressed
from 1 (One) Instructor to over
50 (Fifty) in 41
locations
and from 22 students to well over
10,000 thousand Worldwide and over a
third have been with us for more than 10
to 30 years. This is a strong factor
in why our system is efficient and the quality
at our school so consistent.
